About the work

I had the fortune and pleasure to visit Con Son Island in Vietnam recently. The raw beauty of the land played both beautifully and devilishly with the moodiness of the setting sun. The rocky nature of the island offered various facets blunt yet alluring, inviting yet ugly, all perhaps carved by its history. I tried to capture the grace of a landscape once besot by conflict but not having lost its majesty in those grim years.
